When I look back on my training, Sarah was genuinely one of the highlights of my experience. She was incredibly committed as a teacher, and what stood out most was how much she championed our individual interests and creativity. During my foundation training in acting, Sarah created an environment where I felt completely safe to experiment and grow as a performer. She was always approachable, supportive, and generous with her time - whether that was helping with auditions, answering questions, or simply calming pre-audition nerves and anxieties.
Later, when Sarah taught me on the BA Hons course in Critical Performer (a subject that could easily have felt dry or intimidating) she still managed to make the material engaging, creative, and enjoyable. She encouraged us to think playfully and creatively, even within academic work, which made a huge difference to my confidence and enjoyment of the course.
